  • No Trespassing Sign - help keep the gov't off your property

I recently heard about this site on Paul Wheaton's Podcast 215 with Glenn Kansinger, Glenn uses this No Trespassing sign on his property to keep out government officials from snooping on his land. Note the fee is to the person not the agency. That is very important from my understanding.

Here is the response I got:

The website is down and may be down permanently as Mr. Munro passed away on January 19th of this year. We, the family, have not yet decided what they wish to do with the information and the website.

I don't want to rain on anyones party BUT do you really think any of the alphabet agencies mentioned on the sign wil be deterred one second by that sign?

None of them conform to the highest law of the land... the Constitution.

One of the ranges I shoot at when I visit family has the signs for sale. If anyone is looking for one, I can ask a family member to find out how much the signs sell for at the range.

Maybe not the alphabet soup group but the part where it calls out the "local members of zoning and planning boards" may. Because you aren't charging the fine to the agency but to the person.

I know this is not going to be popular. These signs keep no .gov person off your property and judges won't even address the issue. It will allow you to poss. take a citizen to court. In this state property must be posted to do that, as far as officialdom goes forget it they are going to do what they want and the newer judges let them. They don't even have to meet the level of probable cause, only reasonable suspicion. This could vary by state. You can be right as rain but if they want to screw you they will. I used to be a peace officer until the 80,s then the statutes changed to enforcement officer.
