might be moving soon, Where are the SC folks?

So I may be looking to move to the Greenville/Simpsonville area soon in SC. I'm going on a second interview with a church up there that I may possibly be ministering at. This post is two part, please if you are so inclined pray that God makes it obvious His will for my life and the direction for His church.

secondly I'm looking for anyone who lives in the area that I can get some tips from? I've been doing a good bit of research, but it's always better to hear from people who live there and are like-minded. Any area I should avoid? How are the poeple? I'm not super happy about SC gun laws but it is what it is. Just anything you'd like to share would be very welcomed!

Can't help much with info as I've only been there a few times.

I do have quite a few family members that moved there from Florida about 15 years ago.

One of them is a minister that was formerly Special Forces, the real deal. They live near a town called Grey Court.

The gun laws (I live in GA) seem...excessive. The testing every 3 years, renewel, etc. Not that I'm worried about passing at all, but more so I lean on the "shall not be infringed" side of things.

Both of the Carolinas, especially NC, seem to be boot step in line with the Police State mentality... Every time I have been through those States I have seen road blocks with Drill Sergeant-looking State Police all lined up... But SC does have some wild politics, which makes them a step above NC in the "Freedom Meter." Also why I have never moved to TN either... Virginia is getting worse...

If the western States weren't so far away of a move, I would probably be out there by now...

SC is the only state in the south that my GA CCW wont let me carry in.
Only down part about SC to me sir!
