commode don't work

I put a commode on top of a concrete floor.
I got this brilliant idea to use one that sends the goods out the back and not straight down...
saved a lot of problem digging out the concrete-- right?? yep. sure did.

then. we lost water source... no problem... pour a bucket of water in the tank and flush away...
oh chit!.. the tank has got this big plastic container inside the tank!! ..

now, I got bowl full of @#1% and it won't go out the back!

this commode don't work like every other I've ever fooled with...
the water pressure pressurizes the tank... pushing the water and the stuff out the back...
no water PRESSURE, no stuff out the back...

chit. I didn't think about that!

just a friendly story, and a reminder...
toilets work well with gravity... well most do!

rule #1, crap rolls down hill. Every time I detail a building, house, or structure this is a rule you HAVE to follow or you will eventually have problems. I have seen so much plumbing that doesn't follow this rule, and it eventually always fails.

Can you install a pressure fitting and pressurize the tank with compressed air ??? Schrader valve and a bike pump? Maybe put an inner tube in the tank and inflate it, flush, vent tube, refill with water and re-fill the inner tube?

I see a wet afternoon ahead...

as long as well works... it will pressurize..
no electricity... well won't work.

I have a large tank located... looks like it would hold a lot of water...
got to figure out.. how much pressure that thing would put out with gravity pushing down...
also.. I'm looking for used commode or cheapie, that if problem happens... I could do a swap out...
I suspect I would have plenty of time to chisel out or bust out a portion of slab.. in that event!!

or last choice... between auger and a shovel I could dig a hole and set a box on top of the hole and a few boards around the box...
the outhouse at ga. campout comes to mind!

How much headspace do you have? Could you build a wooden platform and sit a regular toilet on it?

Every throne could use a few steps leading up to it. Imagine how important you'd feel sitting way up high reading the paper.

excellent idea... you've had several of them..
raise toilet.. run exhaust pipe down and out rear of building... with a little s flows downhill slope to the pipe!
no digging in the concrete!! I've participated in throne activities that were installed in this manner before!

give that man 2 points!

Have you tried just pouring the water in the bowl, not the tank. That what we usually do anyway as it uses less water.

I can't take full credit for that idea RR as I too have participated in such activities on someone else's elevated throne. :)
