So you remember when you were like 6 and had a crush on a little girl in skewl and you'd write her a note? It usually read something like this-

"Cindy, you are so pretty will you be my wife? Check this box (Yes) Love Bobby."

This kinda remind you of that? WTH over?

Everything you need to know about living or going off-grid. 15+ years of over 4,500 accumulated articles and the off-grid map for connection-building and opportunity exploration.

Let see, people go on blind dates via the net and find that sometimes the "hot chick" is a DOOOOD! Yet they think a LAND PURCHASE is going to work out via a blind site?

Didn't take long for the freeloaders to show up...

"i have no money for land i do have 2 hunting rifles and the skills and will power to do what u are trying id be willing to join and help in any way i can"

The responding guy doesn't "got what it takes?"...money to get started with that project.

I have been in a couple of organizations that needed additional membership to grow to the next level. Every time went out to recruit people, it was the same story "I like what you are doing and would love to join. But I don't have the fee of XXX to join or YYY to cover monthly dues or the ZZZ to attend events."

What sunk us, was during the time to decide who to recruit further; all the existing members skipped over the financial facts and were like "cool another person to join us." All of the sudden, the group mission is not being achieved, group core believes are not being upheld and all the remaining members are asking why we are having issues.

Gotta have skin in the game, otherwise you are just coming and going as you please; while screwing over the rest of the members.

It sounds like "Gator" maybe going it alone; sometimes that is not a bad thing.

that was in March 2012.. By now I see ole Gator running up the minutes on his cell phone calling free legal aid and being knee deep in eviction notices trying to get rid of the free loaders "I'm in the mindset" and have every episode of doomsday preppers saved to my tablet for later reference types. Everybody wants to find like minded people and sometimes as survivalists we get a case of bro-mance and want to move a little too fast at integrating a prospect into our plans. Posting a add on a public internet site inviting people from the entire US to come live with you because they are "of the mindset" is Moronic. Hey I would love to move out to the south and just live at one of the campsites LD uses for the camp outs. We could ALL live there together, we are all "like minded" and we all know each other from the forum right, I mean We even know what some of the folks here look like. so why not? Nothing could go wrong , right. Actually I started out being sarcastic but know that I sit here and read it over ?????
