  • grease oils and fuel.

i'm sure you all have got your metal fuel tanks with 100's (or thousands?_ of gallons of diesel and gasoline put away...
or at least a couple of plastic 5 gallon cans ... I figure this is a good way to find out how long someone thinks the s will htf..
if a prepper has 25 gallons... he's figuring on worst event being a week long storm. 500 gallons... 1 year... and if he's got a 1000 gallon tank buried
behind the barn, he has figured that it could be over a year.

and on to my embarrassing confession.
I started a big project that was going to involve a machine I hadn't "greased up" in a while...
got out the grease gun and went to greasing the zerks. ahh... gun was empty in no time...
no problem... surely I've got some tubes of grease or at least a few small containers I can use to refill the grease gun... nope..
finally found one of the tubes! one..
moral of this confession... I need to stock up. chances of me finding a replacement bearing or tie rod end for this machine is not likely.

I then checked the hydraulics... low, but just a little.
I don't remember how much a 5 gallon bucket is, but I've got to get one or two...

even if there's no shtf event, it will surely cost a lot less today than next year!!

Tools are an most, but make sure you know how to use them and keep them in good working order. A craftsman is only as good as is tools. And use the right tools for the job.

I've built and worked on show cars and customs scenes I was 7. These are commen issues. Most people think just putting gas in the tank is enough. In tell something goes wrong,

People lived before there was any machinery, and can do it again. If shtf, nearly everyone will be dead, so finding replacement machines won't be all that difficult.
