    I saw this and wondered if anyone out there has tried it.

    Perform your soil test by placing a sample into two separate cups or containers.
    Add vinegar to one. If it fizzes your soil is alkaline.

    If not, add some water to the second cup and stir. Add baking soda. If it fizzes you have acidic soil. If neither have a reaction your soil is somewhat pH balanced.

    This would undoubtedly work if the soil was acidic (or alkalyne) enough. Have my doubts as to whther you could use it to discriminate between pH levels within the normal range.

      I recently had two soil tests done and I personally don't see why more people don't do it.

      I mean it only costs $8.

      It gives you your soil PH and nutrient levels along with what to add and amounts to correct any deficiencies.
