I got this book for christmas and it really is a wealth of information. The 1st chapter is an assortment of information from buying land to quilting to candle making. The resources that are listed in it are well worth it. It goes through the land buying process and what to think about. The other 10 chapters are devoted to gardening and raising animals.

Carla Emery has got a lot of information in this book and tons of links/addresses for more information.

So if you are like me and get a gift card for your favorite bookstore check this book out.

We have a couple of the older editions and they are awesome. This is one of those "must have" books for the library.

I got one last Christmas and the book is filled with so much information it's incredible! I'ts a good "go to" book for learning.
