I saw an article in the FarmShow magazine about http://sheerwind.com/

It uses a wind tunnel concept, uses less land, better output, and cheaper to produce.

Worth looking into.

Those all seem to have a blade that spins around. This other design is a funnel that wind goes down into and speeds up as it goes down towards the generator. These also have reduced noise and vibration.

Sorry I didn't take the time to click on the link earlier. That is a great idea, just like forcing water into a narrower tube to increase the force. thanks for the link.

This would be good for all the crazy people out there who complain about the wind turbines KILLING THE BIRDS. No blades to run into and kill the helpless birds on this setup. Looks interesting.
