Anyone who is interested in following the daily blog/instructions for creating an off-grid homestead in Eastern Tennessee will LOVE this site.
The couple, Mike and Lisa, started this blog in the summer of 2008, and it is still ongoing today. They construct an earth berm house, mostly with just the two of them doing the work, after the concrete walls are in place. Mike connects solar panels and, with Lisa's help, they create their dream house.
