Well last weekend, I picked up these two cast iron skillets for $5 total at a yard sale. They were in rough shape. I wire wheeled and washed 'em. Then I coated them with oil and baked them for 3 hours at 250 degrees to "season" them. They came out great.

I picked up some cucumbers at the flea market last weekend, 4 for a dollar. I pickled them into three full mason jars. So that's three jars of pickles for about $1.50 including spices, etc. I googled how to do it and it was brick simple. Going off memory. Add a cup of vinegar, 1 tbsp salt, 3 minced garlic cloves, some pepper balls and dill to the jar. Push it full of pickles, sliced or whole. Top it off with water and cap it for a few weeks in the frig. Done....
Today, I went to Wally-World and pulled the trigger on an outdoors cooking cast oven. I've been lusting after one for a while, but couldn't locate one at the flea markets. Set me back about $70 including the lid pull. Anyhow, glad to have it. Now I need to learn how to use it and practice…or my wife does that is…..
