  • Lifesaver Storm shelters

On the way to work this morning I noticed in this little town I drive thru a trailer with about 3 or 4 "Lifesaver Storm Shelters"...Granted this town sees quite a bit of traffic due to its proximity to a decent sized metro area....I found it interesting.

Anyone else see more of these businesses in their AO?

Everytime we get struck more wake up a smell the coffee and these business' are doing good here. In fact to have a shelter installed after last spring it was around a 6-9mth wait. Since Doooooooomsday preppers/bunkers etc there are a ton of folks building "shelters". A coworker had me look at some pics of one and I pointed out several design flaws for him to incude the material which was oversize culverts. Now before i get jumped on yes you can build a decent shelter with them but for the money they were asking it should have been sheet steel. Closet shelters, especially walkins, are becoming more and more popular too. Many homeowners are doing their own as a shleter/safe room/lockable storage for their guns n such.
