Hey folks. I noticed another thread here on mapping. It made me think about the homestead. Do you folks have a detailed drawing of the homestead/retreat and the surrounding areas? Is it ranged? Are your primary, secondary and tertiary BO routes figured and drawn in? What about natural choke points that could be used? Anything around your place that could be used for cover and/or concealment? I was just curious if anyone has thought about this and if so, what have you done? Will you place drawings in each side of the house that pertain to said location? Just curious.

Digital pics work well also. Reminds me when we need to update ours.
Aerials are very nice addition to your topo collection. Walking it and committing what you can to memory is invaluable for us not too technical types also.Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

It doesnt show or cover everything because of OPSEC but it gives you the primer. I also have views with ranges, dead zones etc from every door and window so that anyone not so familiar can immediatley know what they need to cover an area. Where would we be without the 3 ring Binder? I have ten and continuing the count!! None of mine have DEATH in the title - YET!
I printed my maps on thin architectural Vellum paper, makes pretty good overlays. Should find another source for printing clear overhead projector sheets.Do the right thing, because it is the right thing to do!
