  • Solar Motion Sensor Light

Installed a Solar Motion Sensor Light. I will see how good it work over time and then possibly get some more. I bolted the panel to the guttering so i didnt have to go thru the shingles.
They seem to project a decent amount of light though they won't sear the eyes of a burglar or melt the skin from a zombie it does allow me to see the possum collecting junebugs.

Looks good. I have one that is like like on my shed at my dads house. When it was at my house it drove me nuts. The animals would turn it on. I ended up getting the one thats a dusk to dawn one with 3 led spot lights.

Someone in another solar light post was talking about trip wiring them. this might be a better option and they can be moved indoors during power outs. Also i can place it on the ground pointing upwards to make it more of an offensive light where it shines in their face rather than just a broadcast angle where most lights are pointed downwards.

We got one from Lowes about 5-6 years ago, it didn't hold up. Wasted $70. or so bucks on the darn thing also. Hopefully they've gotten a little better built now.

I made the mistake of buying one. Fortunately it was on sale and a 20% off coupon...it lasted a couple weeks. One led quit, then the unit quit charging. Saved it for possible donor parts for other projects.

I hope yours works better, but I expect you'll see similar results.

Similar experience as Lowdown3 and tech. The ones I bought didn't last.
