Google maps

Spent a lot of time last weekend with my google map/topo/sat., lat and long maps driving around and marking mile markers , water supplys,creeks, lakes, woods,pastures,bridges big trees and others routes around my land . I live out in the country 1 hour from the city ag. county a lot of 1000 acres farms not mine. The one thing i am lucky to have is bridges, all roads to my place in a 5 mile radius have bridge. If it all goes bad some well placed trees before the brigdes and i can control the flow of traffic at least away from me all marked on my maps. also the land around me is one of the highest point in the area. has others thought of looking out beyond just your b.o.l or home any thoughts or ideals ? ps. i know i am not the best at typing fat fingers sorry.

I use alot of different maps to figure out routes, locate water, etc etc.
Just remember when you block them out you block you in too

Matt in oklahoma your right i need to be sure to leave myself a way out. luckly the farmers around me think like i do and we all have a role to play in our survial we meet once a year some more than others but we are all on the same page, with over 7000 acres with cows,chickens, wildlife and water we have to keep it safe some how . we would only block roads near a road so people have a another way to go and keep going . people that dont have land or livestock will be needed to help guard and work. Its like starting a new little city. what have others done around there places the more people share ideals the better we all we be.
