I went out to feed the rabbits and when I got to Flopsey's cage, it was open! She has ten babies, who don't even have their eyes open yet! Ack! I heard her in the neighbor's field. Just as I would get close, she would dart deeper into the brushy, thorny, honeysuckle covered corner of the field. We finally go her out in the open. I distracted her and DH managed to capture her! Thank you God! I am so relieved. We have two others that have 2 and 6 bunnies within two days of hers, I guess we might have been able to farm them out, but thank God we didn't have to!

It will be a little while before they open their eyes. They are also born "naked" and can chill REALLY easy at this point.Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

They are starting to get their eyes open. All of them seem to be doing well. We had three litters born in two days. Two first time moms with 6 and 10 kits and an older mom with just two. All of them are in good condition, but the two are fat as little pigs!Comment
