  • Pit Bulls Slaughtered 42 Goats

I know this article is not about feral dogs, but i see them as causing alot of problems in the future. I rent right now, and the land owner will not let me pop the wild cats around here. I have a good chain link fence around my chickens and ducks, but there are not as many wild rabbits and quail as there used to be in the area. By people dropping them in the "country" when they can't feed them in the future it will only make it alot worse.

    Pit Bulls Slaughtered 42 Goats

Animal control officers captured three of four pit bulls believed to have killed 42 goats in a Los Angeles-area farm.

The goats were slaughtered on a property at 164th Street and Avenue Q Monday in Lancaster, county officials said.

"It appears that the pack mentality set in in this particular incident," Aaron Reyes, deputy director of the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control, told the LA Times.

Reyes said the dogs were captured Monday night.

"They just fed off one another's energy and mischievous behavior," he told the paper.

Animal control officers are searching for a fourth pit bull and the owner, said Danny Ubario, manager of the Lancaster Animal Care Center. The dogs appeared to be strays because they were running loose without collars or tags, Ubario said.

The carcasses were taken to an animal shelter for disposal.

We had something similar here when 4 dogs attacked and killed 5 goats on our neighbors land. Animal Control did not find the dogs, but I now have permission to dispatch them from all parties to include the local police as long as there is an attack taking place

Daddy always said any stray cat or dog on the farm is called a "moving target" for a reason.
