I was at the local feed store the other day and was looking at the cages and pens that were for sale. One was very tall and the wire mesh the builder used wasnt wide enough to make the top so he put the mesh up in two pieces. What i want to know was what were the little pieces he used to join the sheets of mesh together? They looked to be bout 1/4 inch long and were placed so they surrounded both pieces of mesh wire and were crimped or squezed together. They were aluminum i think and the builder put one half way between each verticle row and clamped the horizonal wires together so that the two pieces of mesh became one . i am in the middle of putting wire mesh on my chicken tractor and would like to use these "things "also. Thanks for your help, my farm days were few and way in my past, though i miss them and my aunt and uncle who owned the farm. Ebb

Look in the rabbit section. They are used in putting together rabbit cages. Technically you don't "have" to have the little J clip pliers but they are very handy and make the job quick and painless.Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"
Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"
Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

If you can't find them, ask about hog rings. You will need the special pliers that go with those for sure.
