  • Planted my Fall Garden

I feel a sense of satisfaction having completed my fall garden on Saturday. I planted turnips, lettuce, carrots, rutabagas and spinach. This is my very first fall garden and I hope I've done it right.

Today, little tiny plants have emerged from the soil. Isn't God's miracles wonderful!

Now, let's hope I get a good harvest.

Good for you ! You should be able to get a nice harvest with the longer growing season. I was in Florida two weeks ago and what wonderful rain storms !!

Awesome MB, we are still in trouble here, praying for change soon. Nothing is going to come from the region so it's good that you are growing yours

We are a little late getting in a fall winter garden but put in carrots and cabbage.

I've had cabbage with snow on them that made it well into April.

Just returned from a week in NC. My carrots have disappeared. I mean gone, no stub, no nothing. The lettuce was eaten to the stem, as was the spinach. The turnips, rutabaga, squash and broccoli was untouched, thank goodness.

I love carrots and am very disappointed!

We just planted some cabbage(green & red), broccoli, spinach ourselves. Has anyone else used miloganite in there garden to keep out most animals? We do and I know lots of hunting clubs do in there feed plots. We've used it for about 5yrs now with good luck. Just wouldn't keep my ducks out when we had the farm. Until we find a new place we grow everything in barrels I cut in half. Works great.
