  • Hidden Storage

Ok as the title says , this is about hidden storage . I have most of my preps in the back workshop of my house . I have shelves upon shelves filled with food , band-aids , and bullets . I have shelves of required reading . If you walked into my back room , it is there to be noticed and/or taken . I don't have the resources or places to hide it atm . But once I get a few things squared away , I will be purchasing my BOL and moving some of these supplies and filling it with supplies of its own .

I was thinking about once I had my property about stuff like hidden cellars and so forth . I would build a garage with a cellar with a hidden basement area for supplies . So if you came in , would only see a garage , house and some sheds . I would have an obvious storage facility that would house some items , this would be a diversion . So if for some reason , I had to give some or all of it up , I would wait a few then resupply from hidden area and keep the ruse up .

I also figured since this was a BOL that I wouldn't be there full time and this would keep my items safe from the random wanderer . I would have a sea container with major locks and safeguards , but once again this would have items in it , but would be more of a wow , huge locked box , lets look in there and then my hidden items are safer . I could lose some supplies and 4wheelers , but not my really needed supplies .

Any other helpful suggestions about how to hide items , I would have some caches , but that would be more for emergency bugout , then for keeping family supplies there . Thanks

You could also get dry bags and old coolers. Then bury them at strategic locations around your BOL. We are looking at getting some BOL property, and placing stoarge areas at each one.
This way we would have the minimum supplies at each.

There are some great books and posts about burying your stuff and how to make it avoid detection. Stuff on shelves can easily be concealed but a sheet or plywood or sheet rock.

I am looking into a secret room and or compartment when I build my house. After being in a house that had one that you used a book and a key to get into, I knew I need to have one. It was something that was incredible to me.

plastic 55 gallon barrels are water tight dont rust and you can bury them up to the tops. Fill with whatever you like and pile leaves over top Make sure you mark on gps or can remember good enough where you buried your supplies. :)
