I have reused some of them, just be careful taking them off the sealed jar and wash them. The most than can happen when you reuse them is every once in a while one may not seal, just put a new lid on re can it.I wouldn't use them but 2 times, I just ordered 60 dozen regular lids for 116.00 shipping included, I think in the coming yrs, many will be using them a couple times if the prices keep going up

I reused a few of my metal ones by accident one time. They sealed and worked just fine but I also would not have used them again. 60 dozen for a $116 is a bit high. I only pay $1.50 a box at Wal-mart which would make 60 boxes $90 even with tax that only comes to $96.30.

the 60 boxes was were a little steep counting shipping & handeling, but a Wal Mart is 30 miles in any dirrection from us so we can't take a chance on buying gas, going to WM then find out they have none or just a couple boxes.Even our TS stores which are closer have them but more expensive than what i paid. When we do go to a WM, we always grab all the lids they have which usually isn't very much around here.we like to start thr season with at least 100 dozen of each and never get under 25 doz, just part of our preeps.Originally posted by becky3086 View PostI reused a few of my metal ones by accident one time. Ooo, yes 30 miles would be way too far to go. Ours is only like 6 miles away. I can understand that. Ours also carries a good bit of canning jars, lids, canner etc. I guess we have a lot of people who can here. They even now have some pretty labels for your jars, larger containers of pectin, and alum available.
