Y'all ever have a moment when you are reading people who obviously have their **** wired tight and you think to yourself, holy smokes, I have these bases covered or properly planned to be covered.
My primary location and secondary locations have all of the mentioned elements covered or planned for to be covered. Excellent posts...simply excellent.
One thing I would add that I have done. While I am very rural, there are major cities all around me. To the far southeast there is NYC, North of that is Albany, then Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Binghamton, Elmira. These areas will be releasing MANY refugees into the rural landscape. Basically you need to draw a circle of about 300 miles around these cities. That is about as far as a tank of fuel will get them. After that they will be on foot. Figure for a typical urbanite trying to make it in the rural landscape they will be able to cover at most 8-10 miles a day. At first they will be fairly passive but as days go on, they will become more aggressive. The further out the more desperate they will be and the more offensive measures have to be taken with very well thought out defensive measures.
