Recieved this book as a gift. Best book I have read so far on preserving your own food. The techniques are very old school. Many of the things I read anymore are done with a modern twist and are overly complicated. This book is the exact opposite. Many simple questions I have been left asking by other books were answered in this one. It is an older book (first edition from maybe 1977) and can be found very cheap. Should be an addition to any preppers library.

They are on at least the third edition now, probably a fourth as I got "Stocking up III" in the mid 90's.

Just ordered a copy, the "stocking up III" is the true 3rd edition, and several years later they printed it in softcover only as Stocking Up 3rd edition (although technically I would say it is 4th since they changed the name and updated it) :)Comment
