we have a fireplace and keep a small amount of firewood to supplement the hvac.
morgan has a firewood business. so his neighbors know he is likely to have firewood on hand. many are probably customers.
so, here's the question for me... what if... super cold winter in your area. your electric source is not working. you have enough firewood for you and your disabled neighbor.
whatcha goin to do when the jerk down the road needs firewood? he has little kids. makes fun of you for putting up firewood.
or the little widow lady that you help with various things. she brags about her sons and grandsons, but you never see them at her house, and she complains that they won't take her to the doctor or grocery store... they are just so busy... but now it's freezing and she is out of firewood. sons used to cut her grass but they quit... she said she'd pay you and you cut it, but after finishing she complained about the agreed upon fee and says you didn't do a good job. real problem is she ain't got enough money to pay you. says "i'll pay you when i get my check next month."
then morgan discusses the small amount of water they get from the well. city water will soon be available. he's going to connect to the city water, but keep the well. we should all have two sources of water.
