    guys, apologies again for the disarray. but this is the first official looking do***ent i've seen that seems to be hinting the fed. gov't is after our savings.
    i'd be proud if a mod. deletes it for the bad format i presented.

      This is very real. The comment time period is over. The IRS and Department of Labor are taking the position that they can do this without an act of congress. However, there is a bill in the house that has already gotten committee approval and is waiting to be brought up on the House floor.

        The only big source of money left they have not "tapped yet" or put in a "lock box", is retirement accounts. I was actually expecting them to go after government retirement and 401k's first then go after the private sector, once they had depleted them in a year of two. Then go after banking accounts.

        It is part of the same shell game they played with social security.

          I knew that they were comiong after the retirement accounts but had no idea that anything had already received committee approval, do you happen to have any reference to that? A number or anything?
