Seemed like they had the right idea, prepping and figuring out things that society would need to know after TSHTF. And having the truck running off of burning wood was pretty cool. Thoughts?

The dad on this show is a very smart and creative man....his son has some potential....but they talk about "well the economy isnt looking too good so what if......"

I thought it was a pretty interesting show. I wish I the same mechanical skills that the dad did. He had some pretty awesome ideas and I found it neat that he didn't just think of things as we see them today, like his idea of a weapon was getting a cap and ball revolver and making his own gun powder. I believe I'll stick to my shotgun and rifle though. I also like his idea about the still and think that luxies such as alcohol and tobacco will go for a premium. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to making my own even though I don't drink.Comment

Now there is another show on History now called Apocalypse man....dude is kinda cheezy but its interesting to see someone elses take.....

I saw a few minutes of Apocolypse Man last night and he doesn't know the difference between a pry bar and a tire iron. He proceeded to show you to tie it to a rope and use it like a grappling hook to climb across one of those movable bridges (split in the middle and raise up to allow boats/ships to pass thru).
