Missile launch off coast of CA a "shot across the bow" WARNING to the USA?

Pentagon can't explain "Mystery Missile" launch...

Facts:
1. Large missile (not a hobbiest)
2. Clean and smooth launch (not a malfunction or accidental launch)
3. Ocean launched (large ship, freighter, or submarine)
4. About 30 miles off the coast of California, near LA (vessel not detected, or blended in (freighter))
5. China, Russia and much of the world majorly PO'ed about QE2 buying of debt and dollar devaluation

Was this a WARNING to the leadership of the USA?

We may never know, as they won't dare tell us...

We may know only when that warning is no longer a warning, but for real.

Just hypothesizing...

Seems to be a lot of this lately. When a retired, very respected NASA astronaut swears that he and other crew members saw something he believed was a UFO, I listen. Dr. Story Musgrove said:

When numerous Air Force officers and airmen swear before congress that UFOs were hovering above our nuclear sites. I listen.

FoxNews had a physicist on tonight and he said that if you look at the video one frame at a time, you can see the 'smoking gun'..... it's not accelerating. So it has to be a plane that just leaving an incredible contrail, possibly a B-52 or a C-130 way up there.

But not accelerating? REALLY?

Come on, condensation trails spread out fast and thats a pretty tight formation still and pretty long.
Second, how does C-130 release a condensation trail? Last time I checked prop planes dont get hot enough to cause a con trail.
Finally, if you look at the whole video, it is a LOOOOOONG straight vertical climb before it turns. Do not know many aircraft (other than modern fighters) that can pull such a stunt off...

I still think it is a cover up...
