  • U.N. targets U.S. for human rights violations???

    http://dailycaller.com/2010/11/06/u-...united-states/

The U.N. has become nothing but a public platform for every despot in the world. To make it worse, the inept Obama administration ASK for this.

    100% concur

I never did agree with the UN and how they FORCE American Soldiers to serve under the faggy blue beret.

I had a different outake on it. I served under the blue beret for a tour so I could see what they were all about and make sure our interest were not being stomped on and our soldiers were not taking orders from idiots. They are inept on a good day and have no power and we did not follow their command only ours. Soldiers know when they volunteer that it is a possibility that they may serve under UN command or even a foreign command in American Interest, depending on their missions. Most of the missions are worthy causes even if the methods and command are not and I have great pride in what we accomplished. It is hard to see until you are there because I felt the same for a while but on a global scale things need to happen at times.
I do agree with shutting them down and getting this anti-American stuff outta here.

Matt, I do not ever remember swearing allegiance to any foreign leader (command) during any of my multiple re-enlistments...
Has the oath changed? I do remember one Soldier refusing to wear the blue beret and he was promptly removed from the military. From that moment on I knew the day I hit 20 I am OUT!!

In my 20 we never swore an oath to anyone, that's some made up bullhockey. You know we aint always running the misssions in them far away places no matter what the mainstream says at 5 but our orders came from our own. Tell me what overseas mission, war or conflict you think is all American and I'll burst your bubble real quick. My Oath didnt change and still hasn't nor has anyone who wore the blue or ever trained, assisted or advised another country even if they turned on us later.
That guy left alot to be desired and was scared and no one was real upset over him but the press and his crying to the press and politicians daddy, the ones going were certainly not. I was on my way back from there then and knew some of them that was going. He left his men when they needed him the most, going into a hostile enviroment, what of his oath? Where is that honor and alligence? Loyal only to himself and tried to use idealistic unpopular views to remove himself from a situation and dang the ones to his left and right. It's one thing to do your time and then get out on your choice it's another to bail when you don't like something and leave men hanging. I would think long and hard before siding with the likes of that one.
To those who serve or served and did what was and is hard, unpopular and even against your personal beliefs Thank You. And again to them UNers who are hating on us "in your neck sideways" maybe the next politician won't be so quick to save you with our blood!

"I, Private Lunchbox, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

            You don't remember that Matt?

Well, sorry if I caused a little confusion and/or upset you. But in the oath of enlistment it does state allegiance to the united states and the united states only. The fact that it was a whiny Lieutenant (if I remember right) is just a side note.

Oh, as a side note. We train former enemy country Soldiers and Soldiers from current countries that support terrorism on a daily basis. Just go stand outside the Academy of Health and Science at Fort Sam Houston and be amazed how many foreigners we are actively training. Not to mention I was obliged to train foreign country Soldiers during our Expert Field Medical Badge training. This included training them on a "training purposes only" encryption books for radio communication, before we transfered over to the boxes and SINCGARS. No they were not allowed to take notes, but they were allowed to watch the entire training class. That never felt comfortable to me. But I had to do it because the powers to be decided they were allowed to attend the training...

                  NP Matt, I completely understand...

I bought a new custom t-shirt for my daughter to wear to daycare tomorrow.

"I am FREE because of Veterans like my Mommy and Daddy"

The back reads, "Thank You Mommy and Daddy!"

:) Made my wife cry when she saw it...
