  • AMC Walking Dead show review - spoiler alert

I saw only bits a pieces of the show, DVR'ed it so I will watch it. I wanted to talk about what I saw.

I realize the guy supposedly just woke up out of a coma, so over done by now, but he acted like he had no crisis training. He didn't take any type of assessment of what he had once he realized TSHTF nor did he even really look around except the book of matches he found.

He used matches to light his way down the stairs with the matches instead of making a torch out of the papers that littered the halls.

He walked right past all the military equipment without even looking for anything.

Did not maintain any type of security, got caught off guard by a kid with a shovel and was subsequently knocked out.

That's all I have for now. I'll watch the whole show and we can discuss it more.

Hoot, added it to the DVR list. Thanks!!

Ya, sometimes hollywood makes all would be survivors complete idiots. Frustrating. But it falls inline with what I believe is the underlying goal for ALOT of stuff hollywood does...

I read all of the graphic novels some time ago. The show is fairly accurate to the book. I think it is in the absolute top tier for the genre.

I've been keeping up with the show so far. Is it wrong that I am usually happy when the characters get eaten? They are all such D-bags. I use Vuze to download the episodes. vuze.com
It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I feel like Hollywood just perpetuates the idea that there is no need to prepare for bad times.

I find that although they keep moving.... it shows alot of what not to do...
