If you feel the need to aim/point your weapon at a living target , you shoot to kill , period .. There are no wounding shots , when I go to the range I shoot cheap ammo and put them all center mass , when I'm done , I clean my weapons/mags/gear then reload with my defense ammo and I will aim center mass again when I point my weapon . I know I am a decent shot at non-moving and moving tango's but when it comes to shooting at a moving mass, I dont think I could shoot to wound like in a movie . Whether it is one or 20 and I feel I need to shoot , I shoot from left to right and will continue till they are all down or I am out of ammo and switching weapons . If you come onto my property after the signs and the warnings and arent waving a flag with your hands raised with one person incoming and the rest at the edge of my property , I will consider myself cornered and in danger and will continue till I am out of ammo or they are all down . I am assuming this was about a shtf scenario or we wouldnt have the need to even have this discussion .
When it comes to physical altercations ( non-lethal ) in todays society it is better to run screaming like a little child and get out of there ,because even if you win , you will lose . I know this for fact , my friend , myself and our dates were accosted by 6 gentleman in non-gentlemanly way and when it was done 5 were down and one was fleeing . The tavern owner and the waiter/bartender all testified that the others started it , swung first , but my friend walked through 3.5 of them in about 20 seconds and never looked back . The Judge figured that he was overzealous in defending himself against 4-1 odds and should have quit when the assailant was down on the ground and was given 10 years with 7 being suspended and finished with doing 18 months for us being better trained and not backing down after having a date grabbed and being swung at .
