Not at all surprising in the least. They've had that desire since 1973.
In 1973, the NATIONAL Chamber of Congress pushed the Federal congress to eliminate the states and have 10 regions with 10 regional governors.
It failed.
The FEMA created their ten regions. What a coincidence, eh?

So their foundation for the breakup has long been laid.

Now the fools will try to make it happen. BUT IT WILL FAiL

10+ years ago I wouldn't have thought it would happen, but the "Balkanization" of the US doesn't seem outside the realm of the impossible these days.

No offense, you seem like a good person, but you're wrong.

1. Yugoslavia was one one nation because the commies stuck rifles in everyone's faces. Those people in that area of the world have hated each other since before the Roman empire.

2. "we're one county and one people" We aren't one people. we are at least 3 factions occupying the same land at the same time. I belong to conservative and southern faction. The left wing and or northern factions are not my people.

3. I'm not the only person who feels this way. the left/northern faction hates I mean HATES the right/southern faction. The stuff northerns/leftist say around me because they THINK I'm one of them is astounding.

Lowdown 3 is right. the divorce is coming and its gonna be like War of the Roses.

Where will you be when the split happens? Where will you go?

Based on our current reality, I might just stay in FL, although I'd need to see all my options. Regardless, I won't be going to any "blue" states; it's not that FL doesn't have any issues, but allowing LEOs to do their jobs and allowing residents to make their own choices are benefits.
