  • Ar ak. Magazines

    This is a heads up.
Monitor global ordinance. They have sales on mags ammo etc.
I recently got AR mags for 6$ . They are steel but lighter than my AK mags.
They put stuff out there on sale regularly. My 1st attempt was outta stock, checked back 3 days later they were in stock.
Hope this helps anyone searching to fill gaps or get spares cheap.

No I can use my AR mags as a hammer...lol

PSA used to do $9.99 on Pmags 10 or more quite regularly. Best I've seen from them is $12.99 and ship included on 5 or more.

Arms Unlimited had Pmags at $9.75 each if you bought 100

Mags haven't skyrocketed yet. I'm guessing we are looking at a lot of new gun owners in this run and most of them don't "know" they need more than the 1 or 2 the rifle comes with.

Heard some interesting stories along those lines from a friend that works in a gunshop- guy was buying a new AR and asked how many mags it came with and then asked "are they pre-filled." LOL

Evidently some online place showed a Pmag and showed cartridges in it. Some Karen got their mag in (probably not magS) and complained that there was no bullets in there LMAO. Evidently the place has a "no cartridges included" notation now.

Was up at MVT last weekend, ran a BCM Mod 0 for 2 1/2 days of Heat 1. It was observed that I had "smoke coming out of my barrel" heavily the 2nd morning. I had that thing lubed REALLY well. It's a well built rifle, evidently leaps and bounds better than the Colt Match Hbar and SGW I had issues with back in the 90's. Not a failure yet but a LOT of lube and only running all the "good stuff"- ammo, mags, etc. Going to let it run a little longer between cleanings and see how it goes.

Just picked up 20 mags. I have given away so many family and friends I didnt know that I was under 100 again. I saw the review video from guns and gear guy that I like. Hopefully he wasnt getting some kickback. :) What is funny...and a little sad...is all those people we tried to talk about preparedness YEARS ago...finally turn the corner and now ammo is .70 cents a round if you can find it. They can barely afford a full combat load let alone ammo to train with. CMMG is still making their adapters for AR's to shoot .22's. I still think that they are worth their weight in gold. I amassed ALOT of .22 ... i mean alot. So training with those adapters is our preferred method right now. Same rifles, same mechanics, but much lower cost per shot. Plus...in the future not so far away...an AR might not be able to shoot 5.56 anymore cuz there just aint anymore ammo...but it can shoot .22's if I still have some.

Glad to hear someone else say that. In the summer when it's hot I also use wheel bearing grease. Oh and I've used carburetor cleaner on the bolt to clean carbon off too. lol
