woke up to no power from power co. generator was running... i cut it off (saving fuel!) bride woke up and wanted coffee... gen. back on. phone/internet down. using verizon hotspot for this.
power company website shows outages scattered all over georgia.

power came back just before i had backyard engineered some electricity.. whew, glad for that, as i'm no electrician. but it was a reminder that i need to get someone to properly hook up outbuildings to house generator.

Brother in North Georgia was 10 miles from the closest tornado but strong winds.
Winds blew a tree down on a car just down the road.
County came out and was removing the tree and managed to drop a power pole taking out his electric, internet and phones.
        Sometimes you luck out ......almost.
        Coulda been a lot worse.
Prayers for all my former neighbors.
        Heard Chattanooga got it hard.

It’s a way of life, and death, for many in America. Prayers for the lives lost to, and destroyed by these storms.

Heartbreaking pictures on the news from all the tornadoes. 'Tis the season, and next up time for hurricanes...stay ready and be ready to relocate if necessary.

we had the top third of a yellow pine just snapped off and landed on the power lines across the road at our TN home. No damage and power outage, but it could have been bad. Neighbors called me and sent me pics....be safe...

Guns and gear are cool, but bandages stop the bleeding!

ATTENTION: No trees or animals were harmed in any way in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were really ticked off!

We had some straight line winds last month - it downed one of our neighbor's pine trees and snapped off the top of another. The top landed about 40 feet away on top of another tree in his neighbor's yard.
