  • Iran heating up?

Middle east, specifically Iran heating up again.

    What's your thoughts on this?

Seems like we have avoided direct confrontation with Iran for 40 years, is that the official policy? Looks like their may come a time when that doesn't work any more?

    Gog/MaGog anyone?

If it comes to war, most assuredly Gog and Magog...The majority of middle eastern countries would be happy to jump on Iran, but not as a first move. Iran threatens the stability of the entire region, but it will be the US, Israel, or both that will strike the first blows.

Agree with wwdnet. No one over there wants to go it alone. They want the Big Dog to jump in and they will follow. I would say for us to pull out and let them figure it out, but I am not privy to all the behind the scene "back scratching".

They whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

Iran, NK, China, Russia-Russia-Russia, Orange Man, Isis; the list goes on and the threats change from week-to-week.

In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
