I jest...
I remember watching this as it unfolded on Bloomberg TV. They even had an "demolitions expert" on the phone who said it had to be a controlled implosion.
It was first reported that there was sounds of explosions in the building right before the almost perfectly straight down implosion happened.
But no, fires weakened ALL steel structural members at perfectly the same time so the building wouldn't lean and fall, but would fall perfectly straight down, the way we have seen old buildings imploded hundreds of times on TV.
Almost 20 years later and things are starting to go mainstream.
