guys, i've never paid much attention to yellowstone going bang, but the few things i've seen predicted were biguns and serious.

and maybe little fissures like this happen all the time and have for 100's of years... i don't know,
    but makes me curious...
    any geological specialists on s+p?

    I saw this: https://www.express.co.uk/news/scien...l-park-fissure

How many times have they had to close down part of the park because of this? I have never heard it being done before, but possibly it has. From the article:

"If the Wyoming volcano were to erupt an estimated 87,000 people would be killed immediately and two-thirds of the USA would immediately be made uninhabitable.

The large spew of ash into the atmosphere would block out sunlight and directly affect life beneath it creating a “nuclear winter”.

The massive eruption could be a staggering 6,000 times as powerful as the one from Washington’s Mount St Helens in 1980 which killed 57 people and deposited ash in 11 different states and five Canadian provinces.

If the volcano explodes, a climate shift would ensue as the volcano would spew massive amounts of sulphur dioxide into the atmosphere, which can form a sulphur aerosol that reflects and absorbs sunlight."

    Wow!

Not much of a believer in any of the UK papers (I find them sorely lacking as I do much of the Brits I talk with lately).

Another place, don't remember where, heard Mt St Helens may go again sometime. Guess it's rumbling or some such

If Yellowstone or one of the other mega volcanoes goes off, there won't be much discussion on the internet. That will be gone,

I have looked at the maps and it would seem that we would lose the “breadbasket of America” as a result of the ash. Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa are in the secondary ash zone...not good. It would likely cause huge disruptions in the food supply for the world. Denver would be destroyed from the primary ash deposits. I have some libtard extended family members that live there. No loss to humanity. Has anyone seen any reliable calculations of food shortages as a result of this potential catastrophe?
