Got Well? Are they "registered" with your state/local? Or are they off the books?

In socialist utopia Venezuela this might matter.

And as the collapse of social services has caused water supplies to dwindle, the military has recently hijacked what spigots remain, transforming access to water into a luxury that most Venezuelans can't afford. Many of the pipes and reservoirs have fallen into disarray - or seen their supplies drastically diminished - the military is stepping in to take charge of the "equitable distribution" of what little remains. As part of the government's socialist policy program, the cost of water is supposed to be subsidized - at least in theory. But with the state-owned water utility, known as Hidrocapital, has effectively abdicated its responsibilities, the military is increasingly stepping in, commandeering trucks and vans used by private individuals who have tried to step in and service parts of the capital, according to a Bloomberg report.

This crap has been going on in Venezuela for quite some time now. Time to check your water preps. Maybe that one or two little cases of the 8oz. plastic bottles from Walmart won't look like it's "good to go" after considering this.

So given the "feel the Bern" types getting prominence on college campuses and his USSR visiting sorry arse is STILL campaigning for the dems, this could be a possibility at some point in Amerika's future. How do we plan for it?

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

From what I understand. Wells are a no go in my area. It's been awhile since I checked....but code would have to jump my fence and get past the dogs to make sure that manual pump by the herb garden isn't just decorative.... ;)

When we purchased I asked the realtor because there was am existing one on site, that was not disclosed . He said they were not allowed. Driving around I saw most have their heads capped, accept for a few.
        Me...being me...well.
If it is my land......and I sure as heck don't live in a desert ...
Mine is shallow and if not capped will free flow. So I capped it...with a cast iron Harvard pump ;) of course prior to the pump I also have a gate valve and 1/4 turn spigot......
But where I live...you can't do the same at the south end of the county.
