  • Without looking it up....

What do you know about pneumonic plague? Internet is down, your not sure WTH it is your loved one has, but you've heard rumors that plague is spreading. Rumors that of course the gubmint denied, calling it just the "seasonal flu."

So without looking it up- treatment, course of action, etc. Do you know?

Without knowing if the sickness is viral or bacterial, I would start the infected person on antibiotics; Cipro or doxy. If it is viral, it will not help, but if it is bacterial, it should help. I don’t have any anti-virals in my preps.

It would be unfair for me to answer this as I am currently taking Cipro post-op. The amounts and times per-day are on the bottle in front of me.

Well, since no one else is chiming in, I would assume Cipro 500, twice a day for 7 days. Close? I do have doses for common illnesses printed out in a binder stored with my med stash. My post-op meds are only for three days, so it doesn't apply here.

                Elderberrys duh....

                :p

No meds would mean going natural, plus basic quarantine PPE etc.

I know what Pneumonic plague is. Not much you can do about it without modern medicine. Prophylaxis is about all there would be.
