    hey yall.
Little new cam i got. Here is some gun mounted footage. Movie is choppy becuase i compressed the orignal to much and i need to make a wind screen/filter for the mic( hence the hum).
Angles are odd and all i was trying to test out the mounts in an outdoor enviroment verse in doors .

also have some shoulder mounted cam work that came out a tad better imho.

let me know if ya think ole paw productions should go all hsld in the action films area LOL:cool:

eta" i was working our hunting land and figured since i was scouting for season and hogs are legal to take down here i'd lug around my fr8.

midland XTC. i had a discount coupon and a in store 10% off and walked out the door at around 99$ vs 120$
          came with 4 different mounts.
1x tree mount( think large screw)
1x bow mount( made to screw to bow riser)
          1x visor mount
1x handle bar mount( what i used for the gun)

they make 2 different helmet mounts, but untill i play with it more i aint gonna drop 15$ for the mount( ill make my own)
I have a 2 g micro SD card in mine which per spec gives me around 30 minutes of record time at 640x480 w/sound.
It needs a sun shade for sure and i need to make a noise filter to cover the mic.
The up side is how small it is. About 1 inch wide by 2.5 long and 1.5 high estimated.
Plug and play, but its AVI and the 1st youtube uplaod was gonna take 1 hour ..when all my other films take 10 minutes...so i had to compress it more.

            maybe next time.
i wanna see how it will do shooting ..i dont think it will handle well on the rifle unless i mount it different, also i had to really adjust it to make it so i could still use the sights if a piggy walked out.
the shoulder mount may work better for that style of film,

same cam mounted on my packs shoulder pad near my left ear. k eep that in mind when viewing, it doesnt show where the gun nor my head are looking 90% of the time...but does give a good "whats in front " view imho.

                i'm impressed.
i could see many realistic uses.
what kind of batteries? and expected battery life?

this runs on AAA . Almost all of my head lamps, flashlights, radios etc all use AAA. So its an added bonusis im humping the extar weight of a camera on a backpacking trip.
Run times are good. Again. I only have the 2g micro SD card. Which limits me to 30 minutes of recording.
I have taken maybe 1 hours worth of film over the last few days, plugged in, deleted, viewed etc and the batt indicicator says im g2g.

As a note to view the movies you must hook up to your pc via an usb cable and edit/view through windows movie player etc. I havent tried to put the micro SD in the micro sd adaptor and view them through my digital camera.

                      Cool video.

I'd like to pic up a camera like that for myself.

Side note: How do ya like the fr8? Seen one at a funshow recently for $200.
