When pondering the strong possibility of TEOTWAWKI, I often question, WHY.
Why do I want to survive. Well, it's not that I want to survive so much, it's that I want to be sure my younger loved ones do.
When I think of all the pain and suffering we will go through, I ask myself, do I have the courage to live through those times.
Let's face it. It will not be a weekend survival game we'll be paying, it'll be the daily drudge of staying alive and meeting basic needs.
While some of you already live a self sufficient life style, most of us don't. I like my electricity, I like my air conditioning, I like jumping in the car and going where I want, when I want. I like going to the supermarket and simply putting food into my shopping cart, without a thought. I like turning on the TV and knowing what's going on. Mostly, I like feeling relatively safe. I like going to sleep at night and not thinking too much about someone breaking down the door and killing me.
I remember that on 9/11, all Americans stayed glued to the TV. KNOWING what was happening was of upmost importance. Let's face it, information will be an essential part of our decision making. Imagine if you will, having the SHTF and know knowing a thing about exactly what happened or what will happen.
In the PAW, millions will die right here in the United States. Most of them the young. the elderly and the sick. They will be the early victims. The problems of surviving will be endless. Prepping will be the difference between living and dying.
I am certainly not eager to live in the 'new world'. I fear having to suffer the hunger, terror and struggle of living. In fact, if it weren't for those I love, I'd wonder if it would be worth living through.
Then I remember that whoever comes out of the ashes, will be responsible for creating society. Preppers, for the most part, are God fearing, moral, lawful people. It's essential for them to survive to teach new generations, not only survival, but HOW to create a moral, just society.
As a Christian, I believe that whatever happens, God is in control. Those who live, will live for God's special Purpose.
I'm not prepping just for myself, I prepping because God put it in my heart, I'm prepping because God has a purpose.
