  • What other sites do you check out?

I'll start this off, right now there are 2 main sites that I look at, this one and SurvivalBlog.com, I have taken a look at FEMA and a couple of the .gov sites.

What sites do you go to for info?

Why do you go to this site?

I belong to, and visit, quite a number of sites. Survival ones like this, veteran oriented sites, and firearm boards. I will not post any links unless authorized to by lowdown. (I'm sure he wouldn't mind me suggesting Frugal Squirrels, though).
All in all, probably in excess of twenty.

No problem with links to other FORUMS. Let's just make sure this doesn't turn into a forum bashing thread, lots of folks have been banned from various forums for various reasons. No one wants to hear people cry baby about it though ;)
Boris- "He's famous, has picture on three dollar bill!"

Rocky- "Wow! I've never even seen a three dollar bill!"

Boris- "Is it my fault you're poor?"

No problem. No problem with linking to other FORUMS.

The problem comes up on message boards where someone says "I like Xzy forum" and then invariably someone that (probably) acted a fool on that forum posts "oh that place is awful blah blah blah". I just don't want your thread to turn into a forum bashing/I got banned cry baby fest.

            That's all.

I like Frugal Squirrels and have been there for years. Arfcom is pretty good. Viking Preparedness.com is AWESOME! The guy who wrote the book we have the banner ad at the bottom of the page for hosts that site and he really knows his stuff.

Survivalist boards is another good one but it seems to cover a lot of the same ground over and over again IMO, probably due to the size of it.

Survival Blog - every single day - great source of info and good links
The most important News - absolutely essential - I read this one every single day also
The Daily Caller - Conservative On-line Newspaper - great news article that do not have all the liberal junk
Off the Grid - interesting articles about a number of things - I read about once a week
Frugal Forum - the best when it come to food prep - very busy forum with lots of participation
              Florida Survival/A Survivalist Community

The time I spend varies from day to day. But daily I always read SB, this forum, The Most Important News, and Daily Caller.

A few others that I like occasionally check out. A weekly blog - Neithercorp Press - excellent well written weekly blogs

While I don't necessarily agree with all of the opinions expressed, I find most of the subject matter really eye opening

I spend the majority of my time on the following:
                        Frugals
ARFCOM (although like others, not as much lately)
                        SurvivalMonkey

Others I check out, but rarely post/recently joined:

Make Ready survial forums which was previously EOTAC forums and before that, Backyard Outdoorsman or something like that
                        Just joined Viking Preparedness
Was recently shown M4Carbine.net and have been prowling around before registering

here of course and survivalblog. also ruralrevolution.com, paratusfamilia.com, hillbillyhousewife.com, and one of the most informative sites second only to survivalblog is backwoodshome.com they also have a magazine you could subscribe to. I haven't done this yet because of financial reasons but it looks really good.

frugals and arfcom and here are my main places.Mostly due to the fact that i have been on both for many years and those two forums produce ALL (98%)of the people that attend my open invite hikes.
I lurk on about 10 forums and post every now and then on those 10(see above).
I am not as active at those because of reasons like already said. The same ole same ole posted four times over along with some real shady advice that doesnt add up ( i chalk that up to those forums being made up of new comers and those who are f.o.s)
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

What sites do you go to for info?

Why do you go to this site?

Because of my interaction with most of you and reading your posts it helps find credible sources. Like protus said you got to watch out for the F.O.S people and so far I haven't ran into any on this site, thankfully.

                              I appreciate every one's input!
