  • Cyber Attacks on industrial control systems

The Stuxnet worm, which targets industrial control systems, shows that attacks on critical infrastructure are stronger than ever, according to Somaini.

It's only a matter of time until a cyber-attack on U.S. essential infrastructures. The cyber-attack of Iranian nuclear power computers (thank God), has set that program back significantly. In fact, Russian physicist are leaving the country because of Iranian suspicions that they were responsible. This same virus attacked a large number of government computers in China.

Rawles has commented often about SCADA and PLC vulnerability... Those are the technologies our whole industrial complex is built upon, seriously... They are in every industry and even more places than that... Now days not only are they controlled by computers, but now those computers are using LAN's to communicate to the PLC's when they used to use radio...

This shows us that it is NOW possible to take us down... if the worm is programmed to do so...

The Stuxnet worm was VERY SPECIFIC in what SCADA and PLC systems they activated on, right down to the specific LAN cards installed in the system... It was surely a black op by a nation state... Iran is not going to let this just go by though...
