  • unbelievable evil.... and what do you do?

    i'm reading torpedo junction.
a story about the german military going after civilian shipping off the coast of the u.s. in ww2.
it's horrible.. I can only read a few pages at a time.
german sub torpedoes freighter full of bananas, or a tanker, or a cruise ship.
the passengers are being burnt alive. sub moves in talks to a few survivors then submerges.
u.s. military chooses not to respond or only a token non effective response.
civilians on shore refuse to cut their lights off. (sub uses lights on shore to profile targets)
    --
the more they kill. the more the german high brass is proud.

    then I see his story
Gene Emory Dacus, 85, was pronounced dead early this morning behind his North Birmingham home. "He was the most kindhearted gentleman you ever met,'' said his grieving son, Gary Dacus.

Alabama teenager sets fire to an old man, a veteran who helps folks in the neighborhood.
    what if, the shtf, and
a group of uppities or a group of ne'r do wells are killing the innocents...
of course they haven't killed your father, son, wife, and to deal with the group might mean doing something drastic,
maybe just ignore them and they will quit!!
that was the navy's version in ww2... maybe if we hurt Germany that the subs would go home...

    what if?

If they are truly harming innocent civilians without cause, then make sure you document the justification of your response.

Guns and gear are cool, but bandages stop the bleeding!

ATTENTION: No trees or animals were harmed in any way in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were really ticked off!

      torpedo junction cont'd
the german uboat captains are anxious to come score kills on commercial shipping off the u.s.
page after page of stories of german success...
germans torpedo freighter/tanker. surface. watch sailers burn/drown and pull up to sinking ship to confirm i.d. of ship.
speak to survivors in perfect English then submerge. sometimes to add one more torpedo to make sure ship sinks.
month after month. the subs did not take up survivors.

      .
      finally,
april 13 1942.. the destroyer, roper, off Norfolk, got a blip on radar, chased down u-85 on the surface. americans jammed guns. one ole chief
shoved gunner off the .50 and began to rake the top of sub. germans were exiting the tower to turn their 88 mm deck gun on the roper. chief was cutting them down and keeping them from using the 88. sub was turning (closer turn ratio than the destroyer)
one ole chief doing his duty... other guns finally coming on line.
germans started going overboard with life jackets on... screaming to be rescued. (german trick to get americans to stop firing, so that remaining germans could fire on roper or that another sub could torpedo roper)
sub submerged. roper sent depth charges. and u85 sunk. the depth charges caused men in water to die from concussion.

this was the first successful uboat sinking by a surface ship (per the book?)

the roper looked for survivors. found none.. picked up the bodies. captain would not let his men take souvenirs from german bodies.

that same night another sub took out another tanker off hatteras.

        You ain't seen nothing yet.

Just wait till quote hundreds of years of oppression unquote are unleashed when it hits the fan. From people groups USED to violence, USED to living outside the law and handling matters on their own.

Meanwhile..... 99% of preppers don't want to train, get in shape, get knocked around a bit in training and their only "training" is a BS CCW class wherein they are told never to actually hurt anyone "every bullet has a lawyer attached" and misc. drivel. This after years of indoctrination that "fighting is bad, don't fight" from da publix indoctrination sistem.

Yet some think, hope and dream even, that the "mere presence of" a firearm (they don't use enough, that they are not familiar enough with and that they couldn't do anything without) will magically ward off any violence towards them.

Recipe for a lot of victims that present a lot of resupply opportunities for the bad guys.

"G Dog went in with a Jennings .22 and a willingness to kill, after he killed them the whole crew looted the safe and re-arm with dozens of AR's, AK's and thousands of rounds of ammo"

That will be the closing story for many a stockpile "prepper."

During wars cutting the supply lines is expected. It does more than slow down the machine.
Germany U-boat attacks along the coast were not only meant to disrupt shipping. But also to demoralize the citizenship. See....fast forward to 1973.....populace isn't on board..look at the end result in Vietnam..or maybe rewind back to Korea.
Picking up survivors in a sub isn't logical.
Lack of room..supplies and a opsec break.

the point about the thugs is spot on.
While we all may fashion ourselves as fighters..most are not. Even less are those who are warriors.
          We all are evil inside.
          To ignore it is stupid.
          Yes....feel it..yes ...use your emotions...

You have to have that mental switch and have control over it.
But when you do it. You do it. It's all in or not. You hesitate and that's it..game over man..game over.

While my references are in jest to those who get them.
Many really do need to think and plan that one day you will need to harness that evil to overcome evil. It's that simple.....but you lack the will power to turn that switch off your nothing better than those that you just triumphed over.

We can glorify the chief who raked the tower on the sub..and the sinking of the U-boat. But in the end is the crew now as evil as thier adversary for not only sinking but the deaths of those who abandoned prior ?
If the Germans had done the same how would it have been written?
          Think about it...
Was anikan righteous for avenging his mother....???
Would you do the same ?
          Are you now evil?

That said. Many moons before I moved to this retirement community in Miami beach.....
I had no issue with what I would need to do to ensure my families safety . Being around that dog eat dog daily showed me that there won't be time for talking smack....nor retreat..and even the shoes on your feet or the change in your pockeg is a trophy made of gold to some out there.
Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

            There's evill and not evil

            There's evil and not evil.

I read a lot of folks talking about "what if you're as evil as the other guy?"

            Poppycock! Bulldust!

There's reality and there's reality. There's nothing else.

Knew a neighbor who was Mormon.
'Yep, he had his storehouse and it was very well done.
He had his fuel, water, gennies, etc, etc.
Also had his legal HK's and 50's.

He was discussing with a friend about the friends offer.

The friend had offered to bring his two RV's over and help out if SHTF.

The mormon neighbor asked him what he could to in exchange for supplies.

            The friend replied "Security.".

The mormon said: "What would I need that for? I have guns and ammo and I'm trained to use them."

The friend asked him this scenario:

A group of people come along the road and stop at your gate. You go talk to them and they want food and stuff. You give them some and then they get pushy and demand more.

They say "We know you got more, give it to us". Then they pull guns."

He asked the neighbor how he'd handle it and if he would fire upon them.

The mormon neighbor said if they tried to harm him or his family, he'd fire on them.

The friend explained to the mormon neighbor that was why he would be valuable.

            The mormon neighbor asked why?

            My friend replied:
You would go talk with them and if they tried to harm you or your family you would react and fire back.kill them.
Because you waited until they tried something, then there is a good possibility that you might get at least wounded and maybe some of your family wounded or killed

            He said:
I would have been there and when I got the bad vibe, I would have killed them first instead of waiting for a provocation .
Then you and your family would be healthy and unharmed.

He added: Why you need me is I have the ability to stop bad stuff before it happens and not wait until I am forced to respond......
and the added benefit would be you wouldn't feel guilty about having shot someone.
He emphasized ."That's something I don't have a problem with."

Regarding this tale I just told,

The friend I referred to wasn't just a mouthy product of our society, he was the real (and very rare) deal.

Most people are like the mormon neighbor (who, by the way, took the friend up on his offer) and they will wait for a "provocation" because they are the product of modern society

Not always, but if SHTF, the products of modern society will be at a disadvantage.

            Just something to think about

Any while you're thinking about it, you might also think about the "criminal element", the anti-trump protestors and the product of 1400 year old barbarity

They don't wait for a "provocation", especially at 3 in the morning or along a deserted street.
