One very brief mention of "lgbt celebration" but definitely not classified as "gay" club as the Brit said made perfectly clear. NOTHING about Islamic terrorism on CNBC site. And I get it, it happened in the US so it's "domestic" terrorism, but "domestic terrorism" is used in a white guy, conservative way a lot also.

the venue was Orlando's largest gay night club, and the event was a hispanic themed party. The shooter looks like was a muslim. What more is there to say?
Muslims hate homos. Liberals love homos and muslims. They will handle this by ignoring any and all reference to gay or muslim, and blame white, bible loving Christian males, and of course, they will blame GUNS>

I know the pro-gun has tried to preach this, so I will add to it as well. The guy went through multiple mag changes (witness testimony of delays in gunfire as he reloaded) during the 20-30 minutes of shooting. He was one of the few people STANDING (profiled target). Just a few ARMED patrons of that club could have stopped that guy, or at least changed the paradigm... This is a lesson many churches have learned, as some now have armed "ushers" and security.

But i would bet that most in that club were rabidly anti-gun...

Why did law enforcement wait 3 hours before going in??

Think about it.... 3 hours to walk around at his leisure shooting unarmed cowering people!

If someone, even just one person had went in and starting shooting at this terrorist maybe he wouldn't have killed 50... perhaps 49 but to just let him have all that time seems stupid to me.

I know this opinion will get flack from LEO's and others but that's the way I see it.

Okay, I live in this area and this happened close to where I live. I have been watching this closely. I have friends on the FD that arrived and know one PM that transported two victims to the hospital who hid under dead bodies. The shooter apparently shot many victims more than once. One new FF that my son knows who is 21 years old had the task of carrying many of the bodies out AFTER the investigation was complete. Crime scene is still active as of this morning as the LEO still has the entire roadway shut down in front of the scene. Side note...everyone is talking about how brave the first responders were, and I agree, but lets not forget the investigators and evidence techs who were doing their job with 50 dead souls on the ground, some on top of each other, with cell phones ringing until the batteries went dead. Local news stations, radio and TV, had 24 hour coverage without commercials. Vigil last night at the Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center drew a large crowd, I heard 10,000. One speaker which I heard an excerpt of was pushing the gun control. Sunday, a local State Rep was pushing GC.

The rhetoric is changing from radical ISIS to a gay hater. The trend that I am seeing is the MSM is swinging it to the gay hater side and staying away from the notion he had been radicalized. Look, the way I see it is it was a terrorist attack pinpointing the LGBT community, but is was also a hate crime towards all Americans.

There are many stories floating (scouting Disney Springs area, he was Gay himself, etc) are around as all big incidents so when you hear something new, check the source. Also, I think BG asked why it took 3 hours and that is now being questioned and looked into. Thoughts are if the LEO had entered sooner than less may have died (bled out). I don't know how the LEO command protocols go so I, like you, will have to wait for further info.

I will say some of the garbage that has been spewed by the local anchors about the BIG and POWERFUL assault rifle and the "fully automatic pistol" that no one should be allowed to have was laughable and sad. Sad because the non-gun person would believe them.

Just a few random thoughts at this moment. I know others on this forum that live in this area as well, and they may have more to add.

Its like a Hippy love fest with all the "community", Love, Love not hate, buzz words for the last 4 days on MSM and local radio. Also the naritive is "Mass Shooting" not Terrorist attack. Its a media feeding frenzy on the victims,to get the scoop inside story. Frankly Im burned out listening to it all.

As to why it took over 3 hours. The Tango was on 911 with police stating he had a "vest" and had 4 hostages in vests rigged to blow. It turned into a hostage situation and everything has a protocall in LE, entry has to be approved from the politician down. the reason they entered when they did is talks broke down and they feared he was going to kill the remainder of 30 people. Also police/swat have to form a plan and walk through it which takes time. This is not the Movies or your favorite tv show. every five oh officer isnt a swat guy. Not making excuses here. Ill have to find an article I read and share it here. Also Tango made 16 phone calls in those 3 hours and one to a local all news channel producer.

An update on weapons used... on his person MCX, Glock 17. supposedly fake vest. In car... snub nose 357/38, no model given.

Upon entry into club after Tango Down LE waited all day to have EOD clear the site. Several detonations heard one was "Fake?" vest being deactivated/destroyed. One report was some wiring had EOD worried at entrance but later determened to be club wiring from a fallen exit sign.

Lots of dis information being fed to media to report as well.

Want to add, all clubs in orlando are now putting in metal detectors and using wands on customers entering. False sense of security again, Tango came shooting not concealing. Local blond talking head stated in live newscast "how did he ever get that huge gun through the door?" referring to the MCX. These news casters are as dumb as a box of rocks.

OK I have to disagree a bit. 3 hours , I had a murder suicide years ago, I tried to go in as EMS was on seen, state boys attempted to arrest me if I went near the house. 3 hours later the swat commander finally rolled up, he didn,t like me anyway!!!. He wanted to use his team , I was chewing his as&& out and had the co. pros. on scene , Victim was dead of a chest wound from a 22lr I wonder how long it took her to die!!!.. I rode it as far as I could, finally got him kicked off swat. I told state that when it happens in my district I won,t wait or call them. It did, couple times , and I didn't call, PO'd them badly. Also caused me tons of grief. I was a mile out of my jurisdiction or I would have told em to stuff it. BEFORE swat, the road cops took care of problems. They SWAT, have their place and are a bunch of nice guys and well trained, but if you put a bi polar narcissistic idiot in charge or a policy wonk it just does not work out well. And they are overused. Only my two cents. I miss the bad old days.
