  • Hello S&P, I'm back!

    What's up friends!

Thanks LD3 for sending the reminder today. My company computer has a firewall that blocks all the fun sites with "keywords" which has taken me out of some of my favorite spots. Got with an IT friend and he got me hooked up.

Anywho............. I hope everyone is doing well. I know a lot has changed in the world and we have a few more handfuls of idiots and crazies on the loose. going to take me some good time to thumb through the forums to read and comment. I missed this place and you wonderful folks!

What have I been up to? Well other than being tall, light and handsome..........

I have taken up woodworking. I have acquired a ton of tools and I build custom decor and furniture. I needed to learn something to fall back on when I get old and gray and retired.....heheheh. You know, since my generation will be working until we are 100.

I am also deep in the cub scouts. My oldest will be a Bear next year. I am the den leader for his group and I am also assistant cubmaster. I love teaching the boys and more importantly, learning about how to be patient with kids. They are definitely a handful but I get to teach them really cool activities and skills. This year, we get to do more with camping, hiking, fishing, etc. And you the know the motto......... Be Prepared. All about it! Got 2 more like minded dads with me in the group so its also fun for us too!

I also coach T-Ball for my youngest. He starts 5-6 this year which will be a challenge in its own right. He gets off of that Tee and thats going to be super fun for dad.......... And at 1 month from being 5, he is still one of the biggest, baddest kids in the land. 50" tall and 88lb 4 year old and he will beat any kid in the Octagon Jr anyday!

Other than that, I am still married to a goddess in human form and I still live in the country with no internet and high arse home owners insurance. We are looking into buying some property and building a house. Looks like a 2 year project but for once, I am going to get what I want....cough cough , excuse me what she wants.... cough cough...

I have gained a ton of knowledge in the last couple of years. I can pretty much fix anything that comes up on my property or I can learn it quick.

I still camp, backpack and hike. My love for the outdoors will never go away. Now that my boys are getting older, I can include them.

I hope all is well with everyone of you and all I got to say is HEY ROCKRIVER!!!:cool::cool::cool:

    welcome back!
I've wondered where you traipsed off to!
you started talking about scouts and I started to quiz you about a group up in an area we've discussed before...
then I remembered you'd moved south of there...
(which, from what i'm hearing, was a good thing to do!)

sounds like things are well with you and yours.
    congrats.
