Grab passport and.....
I kid ...I kid..
Figure where the fights at. Or shall I say worth.
Imho we'd be more likely to see severe rationing/shortages.
Now large producers having their product redistributed may cause a problem . If that product isn't helping locally. Say corn crop seized and sent from the Midwest to New York...
I don't see it on the individual level.
Firearms...will be hard. Door to door ain't gonna happen. But few weeks months into rationing of goods you could see buy backs. One gun for a extra ration book or jar of preserves(movie reference hint ) say if you have info to authorities on who has them. Thered be issued registration...etc like they did up north as well. Soft actions leading to hard take downs of hard cases. Restrictions of goods if you have ever purchased until your cleared via search.....
Just some quick random thoughts on it.Hey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

Agree with P...taking ammo/weapons by force will only go for a short time. Once the takers see that there team of 8 only has 6 coming home, the teams will stop getting volunteers. Plus, a lot of local LEO's will figure that they have to live with the others in the community so they may not play that game.
Once food and cigs start to dry up, well then things will change. People will rat out those nasty "hoarders" and a large force may be sent at 0-dark-thirty.Protecting the sheep from the wolves that want them, their family, their money and full control of our Country!
Guns and gear are cool, but bandages stop the bleeding!
ATTENTION: No trees or animals were harmed in any way in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were really ticked off!
NO 10-289!

In Louisiana, a threat to my person, my family or my property may be met with lethal force. There is no mention of any gov't agents being exempt.
Just an observation of current laws ;)This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave. ~Elmer Davis

Don't think you see the picture.
Don't think you see the picture.
Consider these guys to be "true believers".
You won't see them coming.
They'll come at you sideways!
They will use your family, your friends and your neighbors to get you.
Tired old saying: "If you quarry goes to ground, leave him no ground to run to."
It will not happen as you expect.
BUT
If you're NOT CONDITION WHITE, and you have a CONDITION ONE GUN, you'll do well.

folks from one state might be used to confiscate from folks in another. example: national guard from a new England state (Massachusetts) to take weapons from folks in Alabama.
but for food... everyone in county is hungry... and all know that frenchie the farmer is a truck farmer and has a roadside stand selling preserves and canned veggies.
the county gov't could easily be convinced that "for the good of all" that frenchie must give up his food stores to be redistributed to the rest of the county..
of course he would be given a receipt and a voucher that would repay him for the goods at a later date.

Like the guys of The Resister publication often wrote, I paraphrase, "As a military unit (NG or Active), if you shoot at them or put them in danger, their combat buddies always come first, and even if they agree with your rights, they will put you down hard." Same goes for LEO/SWAT, I assume.
If you don't have the manpower, firepower, and resources so that they FEAR you, you will have to decide if dying over STUFF is your Alamo.
I could see CS grenades and other concussion devices as easily approved and used... You have a fortress to resist that? With gas masks, will you win when they breach your doors and windows on multiple sides at the same time?
I pray I never have to make such a call.... No STUFF is of more value than life and life of family. And always have a valid Passport if you see the writing on the wall BEFOREHAND.

HAD TO POST AN EDIT ADDENDUM.
Those folks you're talking about, those big bad folk, aren't squat unless, like a street gang they, as a group, pick on 1 or 2 folks (outnumbering the folk badly).
Those big bad folk you brag about go to the range and feel invincible.
They haven't run across a rag tag bunch who grew up shooting deer running 15mph crossways at 300 meters with a bolt action rifle (same as an m60/m240 round) and dropping it.
And the bad boys CAN'T run that fast.
Most bad boys aren't and the smart ones know it.
What you presented is the same as that .gov propaganda...
"What're you gonna do? Stand in the street in front of a striker?
You won't stand a chance!"
What a dumb argument.
That striker won't move after the first two hours.Last edited by prc-104; 05-05-2016, 11:37 PM.

I don't think he's bragging on them. His point .way I see it is.
Not to fool yourself that if you harm one..they'll go away.
Lets be clear. We are NOT advocating violence towards leo/mil here so let's tread lightly.
But in this hypothetical/what if/war game. It has to be milled over. For both sides.
It won't be like a book where the corrupt forces come down the street and you drop 10 of them and get away.
The effort put in to eliminate a threat or to purposely confiscate won't be haphazard. Sure a team of dressed down guys(maybe local ) will be the face of it..but there will be area cordoned actions..qrf on standby and Intel being collected.
"Here boys it ain't much but least you'll hear what's going on " (paraphrase- movie hint).
We have to think about what roles we will play in this game and be realistic about it. What are the goals...are they worth it..what is the expected outcome.
I do believe we will not see firearm confiscation. But there will be bans..from import to production to sale...there will be limits..registration etc. Frog in the pot. "Time to bury them " ever hear that...."then it's time to use them " ever hear that response ? Problem is from guns...to gas to food to personal property. Unless people unite against those doing wrong they will go down one by one or hide until they aren't a viable asset in the conflict. Aka hiding a banned item...but never using it...
Be realistic guys...think it through...war game it. If not just for the mental tug job ....sit on the couch put your Rambo sweat band on and go "jbt/tptb /zombies are at the gate...what now...of your completely honest with yourself you'll see how big of a fecal sandwich that situation can be.
Personally I'm gonna five out the door...roll out..jump up young guns style...with Bob jovi blaring on the stereo! :pHey Petunia...you dropped your man pad!

In this area it may be a mistake to start this. The locals almost went to war over just burying cattle years ago. Almost every one monitors radio traffic and even the Amish have guns lots of them. They are peaceful people but???. A lot of combat vets in the area, lot of old ones that do not care if they die a little early. The state police are not liked nor do they take calls off road very often. I just don't know what would happen but these folks are hot tempered and fast to react. I do not think the national guard will go along, even if lately the command structure has been from out state, that has only peeved most majors and below. I would say a lot of buried items would come out and be used. All this is supposition though. They don't like feds even Dept. ag/forest service. Hope no one is dumb enough to do this but my hope is slim. Even when a swat team does come in, the whole county knows in less then 30 minutes. God Bless.

I'm looking at a picture most likely different from the majority. I have close, like-minded friends, family and neighbors...consisting of local police, parish deputies from several surrounding areas, state police, and have direct contact with the state dhs. A couple command sargents major fall into that group, too. "Sneaking" confiscation is not likely, and maintaining a low prepping profile helps to reduce the threat...reduce, not eliminate ;)

Seems a NY ICE agent has been pondering these topics as well, and chose to shoot himself in the head and leave this place...
