    From Chuck Norris son.

DALLAS, March 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AMERIGEDDON, coming to theaters nationwide May 13, 2016, has been described as "the movie the establishment doesn't want you to see." Showing what happens when a not-so-future U.S. government conspires with the United Nations to stage an attack on the energy grid, AMERIGEDDON depicts a country ruled by martial law in which citizens are stripped of their constitutional rights and their guns. A group of patriots fight back and rescue the country from slipping into irreversible chaos.

AMERIGEDDON's release in an election year is not coincidental. The film illustrates a dystopian future all patriots must guard against and is a call to action to preserve the Second Amendment and stop executive rule by fiat. Director Mike Norris, son of Chuck Norris, asks for like-minded Americans to support the film.

"The fact that a recent poll showed a majority of Americans are enraged with the federal government points to a frenzy of unrest with the dictatorial way in which our country has been run," said Norris. "My family has long been involved in protecting the rights of Americans. We are concerned about the future and see this film as a call to action. We urge people to join us in theaters and show Hollywood and politicians that true patriots will fight for their rights and want to see their values represented on-screen."

    On a lighter note-

Hollywood planned to make a movie called "Chuck Norris versus the World" but no one was interested in a five second movie.....

Well seeing as no one is saying much.!!. I like the idea and want to watch it for sure. It reminds me of Jericho that was on TV several years ago. The .GOV people hated it and they took it off TV over tons of protest from the people. But always keep in mind our .GOV folks have our best interest in mind !!!???. I say this after working 33 years for them, and shaking my head over and over at the changes that have taken place. Trust me I paid a price for my constitutional mind set.

Just listened to most of a great interview on American Family Radio regarding the movie and preparedness. Glad to hear more common sense preparedness talk on Christian radio.

I wish I had something good to say about seeing this movie. I'm going to have to think on it for a while before I discuss the movie itself.

Support it, yes, but don't expect much. We saw it once, with the intention of seeing it again but the closest thought we came to after seeing it the first time was to buy tickets for a second show and just not go in- thereby supporting the movie but not having to endure it.

              Amerigeddon the movie review

So where do I begin? We have all seen our share of post apoc type films. They typically range from semi well done materials to pictures featuring flying socks decorated as space ships coming back to earth after a nuclear war. Some will have covert messages or messages that you might have picked up on. Others tend to be more designed for an open message.
Amerigeddon is an open message type of movie. Designed for people new to these ideas, the movie gives a taste of the EMP threat in particular and more specifically, the threat of big government encroachment.
With that in mind, the movie reaches it's goal of educating new people towards this end.
To list a few of the "pluses" of the movie-
              1. It follows a survivalist guy who's mega rich and has a large ranch in (where else but) Texas. He gathers a family with him and his MacGyver like live in ranch hand. After TSHTF, they realize they are lacking skill sets and specifically seek out people they KNOW to fill those roles.
In that regard, it was good. Much better than the standard "community" non sense you see/hear so much from unexperienced newbies. Never were the floodgates opened up for every Tom, **** and child molesting Harry from the subdivision to "join up." And THAT is a good thing. They are selective and pick some people with decent skill sets.

              2. The scenery of the real life shots is beautiful- yeah Texas!
Outside of those points, the movie suffers from a lack of realism and I don't just mean the cheesy CGI. The characters are predictable, some are so comic book ridiculous I found myself covering my mouth so as to not laugh out loud when they did crazy things.
For the people that will watch for realism in the props and the action, it's not there at all, don't bother looking for it. Seriously, don't bother looking for it, you won't find it.
The plot line is predictable from the get go, up to the crazy helicopter battle, which really should have been left out of the movie all together. The plot line lacks clarity in numerous points- witness the two guys in Mexican wrestling masks coming to the college. Later either "Nacho" or "Esquelito" (sp?) mention that they are looking for "the senator's daughter" while there, but never say why. The LIBERAL senator's daughter being rescued at the last minute by the main character and the Lady MacGyver ranch hand girl who come flying in on a helicopter.

Maybe if we support it, other movies along this line will be made better and be more watchable.
We were 5 hours from home when we saw the movie and had every intention of seeing it multiple times. We finally decided to buy tickets for a second showing, but to not actually go and watch it, thereby supporting the movie.

Charlotte was the only thing in the Southeast that I saw. We were up there for a seminar anyways.
