I remember hearing that A LOT right before the Crime bill and Assault weapons ban. Then after it passed you had all the dreamers there saying "oh So and So Rhino is going to overturn it", "they are pulling the funding from it" etc. etc. Obama care should be in recent memory where people played the same games and NOTHING was ever done about it.

And these jerks are used to getting what they want here lately, including Ryan rolling over to them.

Both are very concerning.

The first proposed bill (HR4269) starts off with essentially a change in the Constitution. "To regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is not unlimited, and for other purposes". “ Hmm, a double negative which I was taught to be the opposite. In other words, it should read, with correct english, "To regulate assault weapons, to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms is limited, and for other purposes"

"(49) The term ‘grandfathered semiautomatic assault weapon’ means any semiautomatic assault weapon the importation, possession, sale, or transfer of which would be unlawful under section 922(v) but for the exception under paragraph (2) of such section."

“(v) (1) It shall be unlawful for a person to import, sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault weapon.

“(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to the possession, sale, or transfer of any semiautomatic assault weapon otherwise lawfully possessed under Federal law on the date of enactment of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2015."

The second on is a bit more concerning though as it leaves the definition of "a terrorist" up to the Attny Gen.

I don't even know what to think anymore. We HAD the chance to do something with the budget but instead gave the left EVERYTHING they asked for! I don't get it. Between this and the EO's that are coming I just don't know how or if we can fix our country.

The Executive Orders have been abused by every President since the War Powers activated them.... Both parties are guilty of abuse, so it is no surprise he is trying to use them for his own agenda... I would be surprised if he didn't. But until the EO powers are put back into the Constitutional shackles our Founders intended it for, these will have to be challenged in the legal arena, in the court systems.

Need to be aware of how Congress is voting these days. They are marching in lock step, with whatever barack wants. I no longer have faith that saner, or more Conservative heads will prevail there.
Regardless though, if they want mine, they will have to come and get it. I won't be surrendering anything.

MY own thought is this. First they have been pumping grade school kids to turn parents over guns/drugs etc. First cities as they oftentimes have their own list from local regs, they will hand this to the PD like NY did back when. Then sec 8 housing as they signed away gun rights to get apt.. then old 4473 stored in stony ridge WV ,by now I assume list is on PC , that is ave. to all PDs , then family that are just local known hunters/shooters. Then in the list somewhere all the states hunting lic. list. I for see a sensor on poles and cell towers that will pin point shots THEY have that now, on APC's , City blocks, And as of a few months ago army time said they have reduced it to fit on the soldier 2000 uniform. No reason they could not put on patrol cars, surprised they don't. Good luck all
