Was looking for feedback on our new ad for the Forum that appears on

The Daily Web Log for Prepared Individuals Living in Uncertain Times

We didn't design that ad. I like it, but I think it would stick out more with some color?

What say you S and P'ers?

It's okay. Just 3 arches. Color might make a difference. Might be worthwhile to develop a logo/slogan and use that. I would suggest a logo that symbolizes knowledge and wisdom, because of all the knowledge and wisdom this site has. My opinion for what it is worth.

Make a poll and let everyone vote.

For the size it needs to be, looks good. I like that you have distinguished yourself from the recent hop-alongs with your date establisghed letting people know you have been around the block a few times and know the neighborhood...

I like it. Concise and not cluttered. Is there a way to make the image more in focus? The lettering looks a tiny bit fuzzy, less sharp, than the other ads. Or maybe its just my eyes.

Just to clarify you are talking about the www.SurvivalandPreparednessforum.com ad and not the JRH Enterprises ad, correct?

Correct. I probably should have said that. We are running three ads on there right now. I was referring to the white/cream colored background one with the arches and "SurvivalandPreparedness.com"

Some background color may help, what would happen to the banner blown down smaller?

The background on the ad now looks like it is gray to me.

OK, now I get it. I saw the JRH ad first and thought that was what you were talking about. I think the S and P ad could use some color to make it stand out more.

OK, I see the right ad now... I don't like it. Not sure what the arches mean and the text is not memorable... Nothing to catch the eye... Easily passed over... Had to look for it.

With a second look... the long web address is the problem... Hard to get all that into that size ad and still use a good, bold font. Still don't know what the arches are for... No contrast...

LOL, It was never a "trade." We paid for the ad on his site. Not long after we started I put the ad up for his site here free. I did that cause I've always liked his approach and what he was doing.

I don't always agree with him 100%, especially on things like food storage. World would be a boring place if we agreed with everyone 100% though huh? ;)

However we have always done what we could to support what he was doing. Even back in 1998-99 when his book first came out, I had him on my shortwave show numerous times to help promote his book. That also was free.

I never ask for freebies in return from people, unless it's part of a real trade. All I expect out of people in business is no BS, no playing games, no going back on your word, etc.
