  • out of the frying pan, into the fire?

Wife and I left out condo in Miami a little early, due to some possible bad weather on the way. Now it looks like this will impact us even more in North Florida.

All preps for bad weather were made long ago, but I would hate to lose any more limbs off the back yard trees.

Looks like my area will be having fun....if it holds.
Hope it stays tropical storm class...
After that 04' mess I dislike canes.
And ill get to see how screwed up the chain of command /communication is at my job....in other words are they gonna force us to work in this mess.
Or have management go home and us sit on our hands getting wet!

Looked at the track this morning. As it is now predicted, NOAA has it staying a TS and coming straight up Florida beginning at Miami. Looks like it will be a rainmaker and maybe some huffs and puffs, but no blowing the house down hurricane force winds.

Still, all us Florida folks need to get ready. Trees haven't had a strong, constant winds for ten years. We have been really wet in my AO all summer, so we will likely see some local flooding.

Will be tying up a few loose ends this afternoon so I don't need to fight the fearful this weekend.
Protecting the sheep from the wolves that want them, their family, their money and full control of our Country!

Guns and gear are cool, but bandages stop the bleeding!

ATTENTION: No trees or animals were harmed in any way in the sending of this message, but a large number of electrons were really ticked off!

        NO 10-289!

Have a laundry list of "to do's" over the weekend. Started last night and plan on blowing work early today, to start the yard and house hurricane preps. Have a 20 year old wooden fence that is not going to take another cane. The 2004 season has it bandaged still. Gonna work on that today and tomorrow. Sunday I may park at wally world and watch the show, if complete with my list.
Looks like Silver is going to be lizard hunting in the house the next few days... once I bring the plants in and the lizards with them.

We've had so much rain that the effects of Erika's remnants are just like any other N FL afternoon; biggest concern is if the pool got drained down far enough. Everything else is tested and in working order.
