  • Home Depot run, Guess what Im Making.

Went to Home Depot Today to stock up on tape/fasteners/superglue/etc. been neglecting that area of preps. All the talk in GD about now is the time lit a fire under me. I was headed to check out and I passed the galvanized cans. Decided to tackle one of my "meaning to do" projects.

There is plenty of room for everything and more. I have more radios in an ammo can. These were extras, along with mikes and a spare GPS.Gotta cut some cardboard for cans interior and lid tomorrow. A trip to walmart for some aluminium foil and some bubble wrap tomorrow.

Never seen those little garbage cans before. Always have used ammo cans, but darn are they getting expensive now.

Umm you're going to superglue those Befong radios to the bottom of the trash can so nobody can ever use them...lol. just kidding.

          LD3,
that little six gallon, can is the same price as a "new" 30 cal. ammo can at the local Army-Navy. $15.98. It fits a lot more to.

          Rmpl,
Just adding the superglue to my stocks. I like the lock tight brand because it wont harden overnight in the tube, like most other brands once opened. I'm also adding fasteners, tapes, etc. to my stocks now.

          JAG,
LOL on the baofengs. They are cheap enough to stockpile, several. I still need to get my ticket though. I know there are better radios out there, but what I paid for those 3 I cant touch what the Kenwood TH-56A cost.

Some more pictures to follow tonight.

              ;)

Understood, just putting it out there for those who havent heard, thought it was cost prohibitive... paid less then 75.00 for the three UV-5R's
Kenwood goes for just under 400.00.
              Like the Wouxun myself.

Just remember it's not a real Faraday cage unless it's a metal box inside a metal box, Inside box should be isolated electrically from the outside box, and the outside box should be grounded.
